A relaxing and fun White Rose Academy field trip turns horrifying when a school bus full of young girls is hijacked by rifle wielding, cross-dressing thugs. These sex-crazed maniacs have no agenda except to fulfill their own sexual desires. Soon all the “ugly” girls are thrown off the bus and those that remain are subjected to unspeakable assault and terror. Will any of them escape this living nightmare?

Prepare yourself for WHITE ROSE CAMPUS, one of the most notorious, controversial, and offensive titles ever released from Nikkatsu Film Corporation. This 1982 oddity makes its North American DVD debut from Impulse Pictures in a new anamorphic widescreen transfer with newly-translated, removable English subtitles. Watch it, if you dare!

Number 29 in the amazing Nikkatsu Erotic Film Collection promises schoolgirl uniforms and panty shots right from the title. These well-made films have touched on all sorts of different settings for their roughly hour long hornball fests, so you just know there would be some nubile pupils present in this film. Reading the copy on the back of the DVD frankly had me anticipating some quality sleeze, which I was hoping did not disappoint.

A busload of young girls is on their way to a lake for basically a corporate retreat; get to know each other better while adhering to the rules and regulations of their academy. As they are reviewing their three day itinerary full of boredom, the title card flashes on the screen revealing a huge plot point; “WHITE ROSE CAMPUS….EVERYBODY GETS RAPED”. There is no better literal translation from the original Japanese possible to raise my expectations any higher. Of course I’m laughing already and debating if I should pause and have a few drinks before getting into this.

The girls on the bus seem ready, since they can’t wait to find some boys to fool around with at the lake and pass pornography back and forth to liven up the bus ride.

Meanwhile two young guys are pissed that their buddies have bailed on them and their plans to intercept the bus and meet up with one of the girls they know. They say they need at least three guys to execute whatever plan they have in mind (refer to the title for a good guess).

Fortune smiles upon them because there just happens to be some sort of pervy janitor around who is more than happy to join them. He is introduced by harassing two girls on the street by asking “are you on your period? You look dirty.”

Just in case you aren’t sure he’s scummy, he sneaks into a woman’s restroom to fondle some crumpled up porn, kisses and fingers it, talks dirty to it, then crams it down his pants to rub on his dick. This makes him soil himself and quietly exclaim, “unnnnnnggg………….Success”. He spends a little post-coital bliss by pulling used tampons out of the garbage and taking huge vape hits off of them. This is 8 minutes into the movie and I’m frankly not sure I am going to be able to make it through without laughing myself into a coma.

The three assholes stow themselves on the bus as the girls take a bathroom break, and once the bus hits the road again, they pop out brandishing guns, knives, and the old man is just wearing tighty whities and an undershirt. There is so much hilarious dialogue that I’m going to leave it up to the editor to decide which screen grabs to use, because I found myself taking way too many.

Of course the men take turns abusing all the passengers, forcing everyone to watch their dirty work. Unlike the Spike Lee Joint everyone here wants to get off the bus ASAP. There is some good news for the ugly chicks because the rapists prefer to kick them off the bus rather than rape them. Pyrrhic Victory I guess? Since they can’t physically escape, the teacher mentally retreats to her past, which also helpfully includes sex.

Things go from bad to worse with the girls remaining on the bus. Every potential escape is thwarted and just leads to more rape. Needless to say there is enough forced entry in this it would have made even David Hess blush.

The Japanese really outdid themselves with this one because it is unrelenting trash and misogyny. To be fair, there is an anti-bullying message in White Rose Campus believe it or not. It shows that teen girls can be pretty vicious amongst themselves, which hasn’t changed in the decades since this was made. To top everything off the film also includes suicide, incest, and abortion. This movie has it all!

There is lots of optical fogging in this one, no surprise. This entry goes back to the 1.85:1 ratio with the usual stellar picture. This release also at least has a trailer included as well (which is funny because that actually shows a clip from the movie without the fogging!).

I’m not sure that this one can be topped, and I’m almost afraid to find out if it can be. I look forward to future releases though in hopes the bar is dropped even lower.
